Los Angeles Lakers trade rumors 2016: Lakers agree on Mozgov deal
As the Los Angeles Lakers look to move on behind the Kobe Bryant era, they have made a lot of noise in the free agency as they have been constantly linked to some of the NBA's biggest stars.
Head coach Luke Walton is definitely heading into the coming year with low expectations as he will lead a young and inexperienced team as they try to climb back to the heights the franchise is used to.
It all starts with acquiring new players this summer, and the Lakers have already begun with ESPN reporting that they have agreed to terms with center Timofey Mozgov.
According to the report, the Lakers and Mozgov have agreed on a four-year deal worth $64 million.
Already in his seventh year in the league, Mozgov is an NBA World Champion with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
His contract recently expired, and the Lakers are getting a big man who averages 6.9 points and 5.0 rebounds in his career.
Meanwhile, according to Lakers Nation, the Lakers are also hoping to land Memphis Grizzlies guard Mike Conley.
Entering the 10th year of his career, Conley has been a very reliable point guard and averages 13.6 points and 5.6 assists throughout his career. His statistics should make him a good mentor to young guards like D'Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson.
Silver Screen and Roll is reporting that Boston Celtics free agent Evan Turner may also be linked with the Lakers.
According to the report, Turner seems very interested in moving to Hollywood and can be a viable player with his scoring abilities.
In his career, Turner averages 10.7 points per game and shoots around 43 percent.
With summer still in its early stages, the Lakers may still try to get stars to help them rebuild, and their loyal fans can only hope that the new players can fit perfectly for the team.
