'Lucifer' season 2 episode 4: Of deals, secrets and lies

In the first season finale, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) made a deal with his father in exchange for sparing Chloe's (Lauren German) life from Malcolm's (Kevin Rankin) threat. Next week, that same deal is going to haunt Lucifer all thanks to Amenadiel's (D.B. Woodside) sharp, but not-so-tactful insight.

In the preview for the next episode of "Lucifer" titled "Lady Parts," Amenadiel confronts Lucifer about the deal, which requires him to take his mother back to hell. This is a feat that is becoming more and more difficult as Mama Lucifer, aka Charlotte (Tricia Helfer), gradually discovers the benefits of her new human skin with the added bonus of some of her celestial powers.

When Amenadiel makes Lucifer realize how easy it would be for their father to take Chloe's life away, Lucifer looks shaken, but still puts on a brave front by arguing that their father couldn't possibly take an interest in Chloe's life.

Speaking of Amenadiel, the ailing angel has not yet told anyone about the condition of his wings. Will the next episode finally see him doing so? Or will someone, perhaps Maze, accidentally discover it, thus prompting the proud angel to finally open up about his deteriorating condition?

The brief synopsis on TV Guide also mentions a bet between Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Lucifer that leads the she-demon to invite Chloe out for drinks and presumably some girl bonding. Chloe mistakes this as an act of friendship, but how would she feel when she finds out about the bet?

How long will it take for Chloe to figure out the connection between Charlotte and Lucifer? Having known the old Charlotte's life from a previous case, would she believe it when Lucifer finally tells her that the popular Beverly Hills defense attorney is actually his mom?

In other news, what is Charlotte's real agenda? Maze never did not trust the woman, but can she convince Lucifer and Amenadiel that their mom is not really all she's cracked up to be?

Next week's case involves two poisoned young victims from L.A. and Lucifer and Chloe are back on the road investigating despite their own personal issues.
