Apple is currently preparing the lead-up to its highly anticipated tech reveal in September. Its upcoming next-generation laptop device, the MacBook Pro 2016, will reportedly brag a number of significant overhauls as the Cupertino-based giant tries to reverse the waning popularity of its gadgets amid a global slump in demand for smart devices.

If rumors prove accurate, however, MacBook Pro 2016 may be a promising device to improve Apple's declining fortunes. Per 9 to Mac report, Apple tracking enthusiasts seem to have stumbled upon strong evidence indicative of the new MacBook Pro's purported features as revealed within the codes of Apple's latest operating system, macOS Sierra. The codes seem to suggest that the device will have a feature supporting USB 3.1—capable of facilitating data transfers up to 10 gigabytes per second.

Apart from the advanced and faster variation of USB 3.0 mentioned above, macOS Sierra seems to confirm what many tech buffs have long been speculating for a while—the organic light emitting diode (OLED) touch bar that will supplant the keyboard's conventional function keys, iTech Post reported. If the clues embedded within the operating software's codes finds its way to the MacBook Pro's iterative upgrade later this year, the rumors may have all been justified after all.

For most fans, the rumored MacBook Pro innovations are long overdue. Given the company's precarious situation after reports of falling iPhone sales, Apple is faced with the task of reigniting consumer interest reminiscent of the next-big-thing moments when Steve Jobs was still alive. Any significant changes to the design, specs, and features shouldn't be surprising at all. If other speculations prove credible, the integration of Thunderbolt 3 technology may even transform the new MacBook Pro into a more powerful and faster computing device.

As for the release date, Apple is keeping all information under wraps. Many media outlets point to a possible introduction alongside iPhone 7 in September with market launching taking place around October or November.
