MacBook Pro 2016 release date, rumors: To arrive in fall 2016? Predecessor drops prices

For fans of the MacBook Pro, the arrival of the 2016 version can't come any closer. Unfortunately, there is still no exact date for its release and only speculations give supporters hope that it will eventually arrive.

There have been various theories on when the powerful laptop is coming out, with iTech Post suggesting that it will be available alongside the release of the iPhone 7.

With that, people are assuming that the next-generation MacBook Pro may come out sometime around fall given that the iPhone 7 will be out by that time as well.

Furthermore, some reports speculated that the drop in prices of older MacBook Pro models is a direct result of the 2016 model coming out soon.

Normally considered as a premium laptop, the 2015 model is now being sold at a big discount, which could reach up to $400.

There are also other sites that revealed discounts and deals available, with the 13-inch variant selling for $1000. Though this is specific for qualifying students only, this amazing drop of prices is said to be making way for the arrival of the newer device.

According to reports, the new MacBook Pro 2016 should be loaded with the most advanced tech specs available at the moment. Rumors have it that the laptop will have an OLED function key, a USB-C port and more.

As for the operating system, the macOS Sierra should come out of the box for the rumored MacBook Pro, offering the best of what today's software giants have to offer.

As for its variants, Yibada reported that there should be three sizes to choose from: a 12-inch model with Retina display, a standard 13-inch laptop and a 15-inch version.

The MacBook Pro line is one of the most popular products of Apple, and it was initially released back in January 2006. It succeeded the PowerBook G4 line, and its latest release was back in March 2015 for the 13-inch model and in May 2015 for the 15-inch model.
