MacBook Pro 2016 release date, specs news: Thinner laptop with new processor set for November release?

Apple hasn't released any formal announcement for the release date of the MacBook Pro 2016 yet, but there are rumors that it will be released in November with a new processor and a thinner design.

There are reports that the delay might be related to the continuous updates it has been receiving. For instance, The Bitbag said this latest iteration could be doing away with the standard 11-inch display to give way to a 15-inch display that would be marketed as a possible alternative to the MacBook Pro line that bears an expensive price tag.

Moreover, the speculated MacBook Pro 2016 is expected to work on the Kaby Lake, Intel's next generation processor. The laptop would apparently also feature 4G LTE connectivity, so users can connect to the Internet even without Wi-Fi connection, according to MacWorld.

Another speculation about the MacBook Pro 2016 is that like the 12-inch MacBook laptop that was released last year, the latest iteration would also sport the USB-C port. There are talks that it would be smaller than previous models but would boast of faster data transfers and battery charging.

Truth be told, the next laptop in Apple's lineup could be deemed a "lower version" of the MacBook Pro line, but when it comes to design and features, this one will not be lacking. It seems this one would come with a programmable OLED touch bar, remote Touch ID, and virtual assistant Siri.

Mobile and Apps reported that presently, Apple's focus is on the iPhone 7 and iPad Mini 5, which according to rumors will be released this year, too. The iPhone 7, in particular is said to be eyeing a September 2016 release date.

Nevertheless, based on the release dates of the MacBook Pro 2016's predecessors, there is a strong possibility that this latest laptop in MacBook Pro's lineup would come out in the fourth quarter of the year.

That said, consumers could expect it to come out around November. Still, this speculation should be taken with a grain of a salt.
