As the anticipation builds up leading to the new MacBook Pro launch this year, earlier reports indicate that Apple's laptop flagship will run on Intel's seventh-generation Kaby Lake chip. Although no solid evidence could support this claim, the noise over the chipmaker's powerful chip is fueling speculations over its inclusion in MacBook Pro 2016.

Following a widely speculated October or November release timeframe, a Kaby Lake processor supposedly befits Apple's next-generation notebook that promises a slimmer design with state-of-the-art configurations, features, and specs. But this may not be feasible per technology tracking blog WCCFTech. In reference to Intel's old roadmap, the of the more powerful Kaby Lake processors does not automatically mean it will be fitted with this year's iterative upgrades of MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac Mini series. This means that the consumers may have to be content with the Skylake chips for 2016 releases. However, Apple has not yet issued any confirmation on the matter circulating in various online media outfits.

If the inclusion of Core Kaby Lake chip gets underway this year across Apple's product lineups, the seventh-generation chipset will boost support to Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1 and DisplayPort 1.2 and will enhance the new MacBook Pro's computing power.

Meanwhile, MacRumors reported that Apple's upcoming notebook flagship will get a huge makeover in years with an even slimmer design with a slew of other top-of-the-line features that include Touch ID security sensor and an OLED touch panel to replace the conventional function keys. Other notable add-ons include a full Apple pay support.

So far, Apple is yet to release an official word on the release date. But recent predictions suggest Sept. 7, Sept. 9, and Sept. 12 release dates. The market debut will reportedly take place two weeks later around Sept. 23 while other tech observers suggest an October product launch following the product introduction in September.
