New MacBook Pro models were released last year of October, but Apple users found some of its features lacking, so they are now looking forward to a new MacBook Pro update. Meanwhile, Apple is developing its own processors to lessen the role of Intel's processor chips.

Apple launched its newest lineup of MacBook Pro models last October, but fans of the brand are already looking forward to a new update because they found some of the new features lacking.

According to Digital Trends, Apple reduced the battery life of its MacBook Pro models because of the reduction in their sizes. The MacBook Pro 13 originally had a 74.9 watt-hour battery, and it was downsized to a 49.2 watt-hour battery with the 2016 MacBook Pro 13 with Touch Bar.

Although the downgrade in battery life doesn't look that bad, it looks less appealing than its competitors, such as Dell's XPS 13 that carries a 60-watt hour battery. Aside from this, Apple also upgraded their processors to the Skylake series, which is anticipated to eat up the MacBook Pro's battery life more as compared to the previous series.

Aside from this, the MacBook Pro's upgrade to the Skylake processors limited its memory of only up to 16 GB of RAM. Because of this, the new MacBook Pro models that are anticipated to be launched this 2017 are expected to have a higher memory limit and a bigger battery capacity.

Meanwhile, Bloomberg reports that Apple is already developing its own series of processors for future Mac laptops, including the updated MacBook Pro models. This is to lessen the influence of Intel's chips on the devices.

Apple began working on its own processor in 2016 with the codename T310. It is said to handle the low-power mode functions of the Mac laptops, and it will also be similar to the existing chip that powers the MacBook Pro's Touch Bar feature.

The new MacBook Pro model is expected to be launched in October this year.
