MacBook Pro, MacBook Air 2016 release date latest news: Laptops to be launched October, according to new report
It appears that the widely rumored MacBook Pro and MacBook Air 2016 will see the light of day this year, despite some reports that they will not arrive soon.
In a new report by Bloomberg, it was revealed that the laptops will get their respective new iterations before the year ends as Apple is basically updating a bulk of its Mac line.
Aside from the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air 2016, the tech giant based in Cupertino is also looking to release a new version of its iMac desktop computer as well as a 5K resolution display with the help of LG Electronics.
There's no specific release date given, although The Verge says that Apple will likely launch the new MacBooks in an October event as they have a lot in store for the Mac department anyway.
October is usually the month Apple reveals new iterations of iPads. However, the company has shifted its focus on the newly introduced Pro models and might skip an iPad Air and iPad mini reveal.
This frees up the month of October for some Mac loving. After all, much of the products there haven't been upgraded in a while. On the other hand, this month will likely be all about the smaller products such as the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
As for the new specs and features of the MacBooks, the Pro 2016 version is expected to come with a new OLED bar, which will ultimately replace the function keys above the keyboard.
The MacBook Air 2016, on the other hand, is expected to get some update on the visual side as well as the USB ports, which its Pro counterpart will enjoy as well.
With regards to the processing power, the MacBook Pro and the MacBook Air 2016 are imagined to be powered by the Intel Kaby Lake, the latest from the company.
