'Mad Max: Fury Road' Release Date, Spoilers, and News – More Explosions and Stunts in New Trailer
Viewers have been seeing more deafening explosions and jaw-dropping stunts as a new trailer for the upcoming "Mad Max: Fury Road" movie has been released. The film itself will hit the big screen on May 15, 2015.
The latest international trailer for the film, which stars Tom Hardy as Mad Max, and Charlize Theron as Furiosa, has more details but in essence is simply a condensed version of the theatrical trailer released last year.
"Mad Max: Fury Road" is the much hyped return of the film franchise which was made popular in the 1980s. The franchise's last hit was "Beyond Thunderdome" in 1985.
The upcoming film will see the return of director George Miller, who worked on the original films the first of which debuted in 1979 starring Mel Gibson.
The recent trailer featured ear-splitting explosions as anything and everything got blasted out of existence. It also featured a number of eye-catching stunts.
The new trailer gave more attention to the other members of the cast, including Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Abbey Lee and Courtney Eaton who form part of the group called "The Wives."
As for the plot of the movie, much of it is about the principal characters Max and Furiosa. After the death of his wife and child, Max appears content to survive alone, believing this is the best option for him. Furiosa, meanwhile, hopes to make it back to the place where she was born and spent her childhood to ensure her survival.
However, in a desolate post-apocalyptic world where gasoline is treasured and water is scarce, Max and Furiosa end up in a caravan as it crosses a dessert, while the warlord Immortan Joe played by Hugh Keays-Byrne follows them in hot pursuit.
Most of the action takes place in the road war resulting from the pursuit. A major spoiler that appeared online was that "The Wives" will side with Furiosa and Max and try to escape from the Warlord who wants to regain something precious being transported in the caravan.
