'Madam Secretary' season 3 episode 14 spoilers: Elizabeth saves an upcoming union to secure an important peace deal

Elizabeth (Téa Leoni) must save the upcoming marriage of two people on the upcoming episode of CBS' political drama "Madam Secretary" season 3.

Titled "Labor of Love," the next episode will see Elizabeth try to secure a peace deal after years of civil war by helping two star-crossed lovers get married. According to the official synopsis, the upcoming marriage of two individuals from Colombia is in jeopardy because of their political ties. Elizabeth works to reunite the daughter of a rebel leader and the son of the Colombian president, whose union is a vital part of a peace deal that could end the civil war.

Additionally, Henry (Tim Daly) gets ready to send his operative on an undercover mission. Daisy (Patina Miller) makes an unexpected discovery about Kevin (guest star Justin Baldoni), while Jay (Sebastian Arcelus) faces his complicated marital situation.

"Madam Secretary" is currently on a break and is scheduled to return on March 5. The reason for the show's brief hiatus wasn't revealed, but it's worth noting that this isn't the first time that the series has taken a break during the month of February. According to reports, no new episodes were also aired during the said month two years ago.

Viewers believe that the network's decision to put the program off air, particularly during this month, makes perfect sense because a lot of special events are held in February. The Grammys, the Super Bowl, and the Oscars are special events that usually land in February, and a majority of the TV audience are expected to tune in to these shows instead of the scripted dramas.

It is speculated that the program will resume airing in the U.K. sometime this month, earlier than the scheduled air date for episode 14 in the U.S.

The third season of "Madam Secretary" returns on Sunday, March 5, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
