BioWare just dropped the latest cinematic trailer for its upcoming video game "Mass Effect: Andromeda" on N7 Day 2016, which is the studio's annual celebration to thank fans for the endless support for the franchise. Gamers are beyond excited for the new teaser.

The trailer featured Ryder's father who revealed the storyline for the upcoming game. According to the character, they were in a deep slumber for hundreds of years. When they dreamt of home, chaos was already brewing around them. The character revealed that the peace was shattered when they finally woke up.

In addition, the teaser showed an invitation to the "Andromeda Initiative," a group which traverses the worlds outside the Milky Way Galaxy. In the upcoming video game, gamers will have to chart the Andromeda Galaxy to find a new home for their race.

The official website for the video game also shared information about the recruitment. The group is looking for gamers or new recruits who will be the first to receive critical mission information as well as training opportunities. Players simply need to sign up. Orientation started on Nov. 7. Players who will be able to complete the required tasks will receive rewards.

A press release for the video game suggested that more information about the gameplay will be revealed at the Game Awards in December. Furthermore, in the months to come, fans of the franchise will be treated with additional Andromeda Initiative briefings which will teach players more about planetary exploration and settlement, weapons training, etc. Players who manage to complete the required trainings will be rewarded with an in-game item when the game launches.

BioWare's "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is slated to launch in spring 2017 on Origin for the PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
