'Mass Effect: Andromeda' release date news update: Will EA launch the game's Xbox One version first?

It looks like Xbox One users will get to enjoy playing the upcoming video game "Mass Effect: Andromeda" way ahead of its debut in other game platforms such as the PC and PlayStation 4.

According to Neurogadget, GraingerGames allegedly leaked a logo in their website which stated: "Play it first on Xbox One."

The move to release "Mass Effect: Andromeda" for the Xbox One before other game consoles is not an unsurprising move from EA. The game publishing company has previously given earlier launches on the Xbox device for games such as "Battlefield 1," "Star Wars: Battlefront," "Mirror's Edge: Catalyst," "Madden NFL 17," and "NHL 17."

EA has yet to officially release a statement regarding the truthfulness of this leak, leaving fans no other choice but to wait until early January next year. By then, an official release date for the game on several gaming consoles will probably be announced.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is one of the most highly anticipated game releases of 2017. The storyline of the third-person shooter game takes place in 2185, set between "Mass Effect 2" and "Mass Effect 3" from the original trilogy. The game centers on the Pathfinder and its mission of finding humanity a new home in the unexplored and dangerous space of the Andromeda Galaxy.

A cinematic trailer was launched at the N7 Day celebration of the "Mass Effect" community back in November. Then, a gameplay trailer was subsequently unveiled during The Game Awards 2016 this December.

It was previously reported that the game will have no VR feature. The game will have versions for the PC, PS4, PS4 Pro, and the Xbox One, but no versions for Xbox Project Scorpio and the Nintendo Switch are being developed at the moment.

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is slated to be released sometime in the first quarter of 2017. However, there are speculations that it could be released on March 21, 2017.
