Meizu M5 Note release date, news, specs rumors: Note version of Meizu M5 has leaked benchmark results; Release expected early next year?

According to the latest rumors, the earlier released Meizu M5 handset this year will be having a Note or phablet version. The Meizu M5 Note is being rumored to make an appearance in the coming months, boasting a powerful lineup of specs similar to the original Meizu M5 smartphone, but it is also likely to sport some interesting improvements as well.

To recall, the Meizu M5 smartphone was unveiled last October, introducing itself as a powerful mid-range device with a very reasonable price tag. As reported by Android Headlines, it appears that the Meizu M5 will be following the footsteps of its predecessor, Meizu M3. It can be recalled that a special Meizu M3 Note variant was also released this year, and the Meizu M5 Note phablet is expected to follow suit shortly.

Further supporting the rumor of the Meizu M5 Note's arrival in the near future is the recent benchmark result of a mysterious device. The device, believed to be the Meizu M5 Note itself, has its features analyzed and posted on Geekbench. The device was able to obtain a score 687 on single core test and 2481 on multi-core test, suggesting that the Meizu M5 Note's core processors are quite fast. Specifically, the handset is expected to be powered by a Helio P10 64-bit octa-core processor with 3 GB of RAM.

Additionally, Antutu's own benchmark results also show the same thing, with the Meizu M5 Note having a Helio P10 chipset and 3 GB RAM. This is almost the same core specs of the current Meizu M5 smartphone.

Other rumors suggest that the Meizu M5 Note will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS upon unboxing. It is also expected to sport a full HD screen display with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. Aside from a fast P10 processor and 3 GB RAM, the Meizu M5 Note will be packed with at least 32 GB internal storage. It will also sport a 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front facing camera.
