Mi Note Pro vs Galaxy Note Edge Review: Specs and Features Comparison - Superior Specs Define Xiaomi Phone
The Mi Note Pro from Xiaomi was recently unveiled and it features better specs and display than its cheaper cousin, the Mi Note.
Compared against the Galaxy Note Edge from Samsung, the Mi Note Pro stands out with its superior specs.
However, its design can't compete with the stunning curved screen of the Samsung device. The Note Edge is miles ahead in terms of design as it screen that curves over it right side functions independently from the main one to display notifications from apps. As for its body, the Note Edge is comprised of plastic with a metal rim around its edge and plastic back panel. The Mi Note Pro, on the other hand, has a premium metal frame and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on its front and back which is curved.
Comparing their displays, the Mi Note Pro has 5.7-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels and a density of 515 pixels per inch, while the Note Edge has a 5.6-inch Super AMOLED screen, with a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels and a density of 524 pixels per inch.
Both phones have Android operating systems, but the Note Edge has 4.4.4 (KitKat) while the Mi Note Pro has 5.0.1 (Lollipop). The Mi Note Pro also comes with the latest Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 chipset, Quad-core 1.5 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quad-core 2 GHz Cortex-A57 CPU and Adreno 430 GPU. Compared to this, the Note Edge has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset, a Quad-core 2.7 GHz Krait 450 CPU and Adreno 420 GPU. In terms of RAM the Mi Note Pro has 4 GB while the Note Edge has 3 GB.
The Mi Note Pro is sold with 64 GB internal storage with no microSD slot. The Note Edge has 32 GB and 64 GB versions, both of which have a slot which can be used to add up to 128 GB of external storage.
Finally in terms of price, the Mi Note Pro costs $599 while the Note Edge is priced at $945.99 without a contract.
