Two weeks before the official start of the Miami Heat's training camp, they have signed two additional players on the roster, namely Khem Birch, a former Duke Shooting Guard and UNLV player, Andre Dawkins.

There's one more spot left in the 20-player limit on the Heat's squad. However, according to some reports, the addition of the two to the current set-up doesn't give any guarantee they will stay.

Dawkins has shown he has skills; many will remember how he scored more than 7 points within 13 minutes of play for the Blue Devils. This won't be his first time playing for the Heat since he was able to play with them in an Orlando summer league tourney earlier this year.

Birch is a good choice for the Heat, being a 6 foot 9 defensive and offensive player. He may not be that effective on the offensive side, but he is surely going to be an asset to the team's defense, being an effective shot blocker and rebounder.

In other news, it has also been pointed out that Rajon Rondo will be a part of the team, or at least, there's a good possibility he will be. While Rondo did say that he would NEVER play for the Miami Heat, it would seem that he is intent on leaving the Boston Celtics behind, and he may find his path leads to Miami.

ESPN's Jackie MacMullan has said in an off-air but taped segment that she knows that Ronda "wants out", but even though she mentioned a few possibilities where he might end up, such as New York, Phoenix, Los Angeles and Sacramento, she didn't mention Miami.

It may also be best not to take Rondo's comments about Miami at face value, as he has also admitted that he doesn't really like anybody he's playing against at the time, so his grudge against Miami may be superficial.

There's a big chance that Rondo might be putting aside his difference against his nemesis Dwayne Wade and they may yet work together to potentially fill the huge gap left by LeBron James' departure.
