Michael Schumacher Condition Latest News Update: He Could Live A Normal Life Again

After spending 10 months in a coma the latest news surrounding Michael Schumacher describes him as "fighting". This statement was made by Jean Todt after he visited Schumacher at his Swiss residence. Todt who is the former head of Ferrari F1 racing currently heads the F1 governing body Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). After visiting the seven-time F1 champion Todt stated that Schumacher could live a normal life again.

The comments are very positive news after the driver suffered injuries to his brain during a skiing accident last year. The accident in December of 2013, happened when he feel when skiing and hit his head on a rock. It left Schumacher near death and he was subsequently put into a medically induced coma.

Schumacher was only able to leave the hospital and go home a couple of months ago. He has since been recovering at a specially designed medical suite in his Swiss mansion.

Todt states that the former F1 champion is fighting but as being reported by the Daily Mail, he still cannot move and speak. A team of 15 experts are caring for Schumacher, and the Daily Mail estimates that his family is spending about 100,000 pounds every month on his treatment.

Sports Mole UK, has more information about Schumacher's condition and quotes Todt stating that he is "waking up slowly".

Todt also said ""The problem for Michael was not from the rock, but from the mounting of the Go-Pro camera that he had on his helmet which caused injury to his brain."
