Michael Schumacher health condition news 2016: Details still vague; fans hold onto hope for progress

Ever since his tragic accident back in 2013, Michael Schumacher has been fighting to make a recovery step by step, but over recent months details of his health condition remain vague. However, according to reports his progress has been slow, and even with the best healthcare available he is unlikely to make a completely full recovery.

According to Game N Guide, Schumacher is still having a hard time in his recovery. Reports have been saying that he is responsive, but a complete recovery is still hard to determine.

Former Ferrari chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo said, "I'm very pleased to know that he is reacting... I know how strong he is. I'm sure that thanks to his determination; which will be crucial, he will come out from this very, very difficult situation."

Yet, Schumacher's family has remained quiet about the F1 racer's current health condition, and his hospital bills have been piling up.

Some previous reports have stated that his family have sold the Formula One legend's Mercedes E55 AMG car (which costs approx. $665,000). Schumacher's family has also reportedly sold their family vacation house and their family jet. Although some publications have claimed these sales have been forced to cover his medical costs, it is more than likely the family has decided they no longer need those possessions any longer given Schumacher's current condition.

According to some reports, Schumacher had amassed an $800 million fortune, so it is unlikely they would be in severe financial hardship yet, despite the likely enormous medical bills.

In the meantime, friends of Schumacher held a soccer match called "Champions for Charity" in order to support the 47-year-old former racer. According to the Daily Mirror, Schumacher's F1 colleagues participated in their own team called "Nationale Piloti" and were led by Sebastian Vettel.

Reports haven't been clear as to whether Schumacher is winning or losing his battle to fully recover, but his fans still have hope for a miracle full recovery.
