Since a terrible skiing accident in the French Alps back in 2013, not much information has been heard about Formula One legend Michael Schumacher as he tries to recover from the unfortunate head injury he had devastatingly suffered.

Information regarding the current state of his health and condition had been very scarce because of his family's decision to keep such details private and to keep him away from the public eye. It was even reported that a German publication had been sued by the Schumacher family for stating a few months ago that the Formula One superstar could already sit and raise his arms, information which was clarified to be false.

However, it looks like Schumacher's team had decided to finally be more in touch with the public, especially with Schumacher's loyal fans. His public relations team recently activated the Formula One icon's official Facebook page and Instagram account, both of which have been constantly updated to relive his victories and most memorable races.

"Welcome everyone to Michael's paddock! We love to share memories with you and what better start could there be than the upcoming anniversary of Michael's first world championship title," the first post on his Facebook account dated Oct. 26 read.

Since the account was activated, the Facebook page of Schumacher had gained almost 1.5 million followers. He also has more than 120,000 followers on Instagram. The page is meant to serve as a meeting place to bring together everyone who has followed his journey, and it was made to show gratitude to all his fans.

However, aside from his team's revival of his social media presence, no official announcement from his PR team or his family has been issued regarding the real status of his health.

Michael Schumacher is a seven-time Formula One World Champion and is hailed as the best Formula One racer of all time. He was also awarded the Laureus World Sportsman of the Year title twice.
