Michael Schumacher's health condition news update: Rumors about the F1 legend moving his limbs are false

The German seven-time Formula One World Champion had been paralyzed from an accident almost three years ago, and there is still no update on his progress. Meanwhile, rumors that Michael Schumacher can finally move his limbs are said to be false.

Michael Schumacher had an accident when he went on a holiday in the French Alps with his friends and family on Dec. 29, 2013, which resulted in him having a severe head injury that led to a coma.

In April 2014, Schumacher was reported to have had "moments of consciousness and awakening." A few months later, Schumacher was brought home where he would undergo all treatment and rehabilitation.

Since then, news about Schumacher's recovery has been scanty. The only people who are updated about Schumacher's current condition are his close friends and family. The ones who were entrusted with Michael's situation respect the family's wishes of keeping his condition private, yet several rumors spread that the F1 racer can already move his arms and legs.

German Bunte Magazine reported, confirmed by Tripped Media, that a friend of the Schumacher's family said that Michael can already walk and raise his arms. But it was later disclosed by the family that the news is not true, and they filed a lawsuit against the publication.

Because of the lawsuit, the family had to disclose Michael's current health condition, which appears to be far from the released statement by the publication. Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, relayed a statement saying "Given the seriousness of his injuries, his privacy is very important for Michael."

In the German publication's defense, their statement was meant to bring out hope for Schumacher's fans.

The latest update regarding Schumacher's recovery came from the FIA president, Jean Todt, who is also Michael's friend. Todt said that Schumacher is still fighting to recover from his severe injuries.
