Microsoft has yet to release a device this year that brings significant impact to the market. There are several rumors and speculations with regard to the development of the new Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2; however, these two products have yet to be confirmed by the American software giant. The most recent rumor that appears to be gaining a lot attention is about the all new Microsoft Surface Phone. According to the latest reports, the company is said to be working on it as of the moment. If rumors prove to be true, Microsoft will roll out the highly anticipated smartphone early next year.

VineReport stated that Microsoft is definitely gearing up for the development of the new flagship smartphone. It will be released next year and it is expected to dominate the market with its high-end specifications and impressive features. The publication based their report on the recent Microsoft's Build Tour 2016 in London a few weeks ago, where Kevin Gallo, the current Windows Corporate VP, stated that "Windows Phone is fully supported. We're fully behind it. We're not abandoning the phone."

Despite the positive statement coming from someone from the company, consumers are still asking solid details that would confirm the device's development.

Meanwhile, in a report by IBTimes, the upcoming Microsoft Surface Phone could end the Lumia smartphone series. The publications added that Microsoft will roll out the device in three different variants. There are reports circulating that the device could come with 8GB of RAM for its top-of-the-line model, which will be paired with the new Snapdragon 830 from Qualcomm. It will also carry a 20 MP Carl Zeiss primary shooter with triple LED flash. The device's internal storage capacity is said to go up to 128 GB.

Although these details have yet to be confirmed by the company, many people believe that Microsoft is definitely gearing up for something better to offer to the masses.
