Microsoft Surface Phone release date, specs news 2016: 3 Android smartphones from Microsoft in 2017?
Good news for the millions of Microsoft fans all over the world who have been waiting for the company to release another smartphone. According to the latest report, the American tech giant is going to release three new smartphones in 2017.
There are several speculations circulating online suggesting that the three handsets will feature impressive features and high-end specifications.
If rumors prove to be true, the first smartphone to come out will run on Snapdragon 821 processor from Qualcomm, which will be paired with 3 GB of RAM. The next device will still run on the same chipset; however, it will carry a higher RAM at 6 GB. The last device is said to get the best hardware units out of the three. It will run on the same processor from Qualcomm to be paired with 8 GB of RAM, which will not only raise the bar higher in the competition but will also threaten the laptop market with its high RAM capacity.
The company is also planning to expand their market as reports suggest that they will no longer use the Windows OS, which was the software used on their previous releases. According to reports, all three handsets will run on the latest Android operating system.
According to BGR, the three Microsoft Surface Phones will sport a USB Type-C port, aluminum and magnesium shell, and a liquid cooling system. The smartphones will come with a 5.5 inch screen with AMOLED display technology. There are also speculations suggesting that one of the devices will run on Intel Atom X3 processor.
Tech observers are also saying that the handsets will be priced from $700 to $1100. These devices will certainly challenge the best smartphones in their class.
These reports have yet to be confirmed by Microsoft. These are merely just rumors and speculations, which should be taken with a grain of salt.
