Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Release Date, Specs Rumors: 3 Versions With Different Screen Sizes Seen
All rumors point towards Microsoft launching the Surface Pro 4 after the smashing success of its earlier version, the Surface Pro 3. This is good news for all those who want a hybrid laptop-tablet device and those who found that the Surface Pro 3 was a more impressive product compared to others in the market.
Microsoft recently announced that the previously laggard Surface line had hit the jackpot after the release of the Surface Pro 3, adding that it had sold about $1.1 billion worth of these tablets. While this sales figure for the Surface Pro 3 has been touted as a major success by the company, attention among users has been shifting towards the upcoming version of the tablet, the Surface Pro 4.
Rumors about the upcoming Surface Pro 4 have hinted that the device could come in three versions, each with a different screen size. One of the versions will reportedly have a 13 to14-inch screen.
Consumers have been speculating on the expected price of the upcoming Surface Pro 4, with some saying that it could have an even lower price than the current Surface Pro 3. They said that with a lower price, the device could compete with Apple's iPad range including the bigger iPad Air Plus which could be release later this year.
As for the software on the Surface Pro 4, many pointed towards it coming with Microsoft's brand new Windows 10 operating system. There have also been indications that the tablet-laptop hybrid will even have advanced gaming features, thanks to the presence of Windows 10. This will allow gamers to integrate with their Xbox via the live streaming feature.
Finally the Surface Pro 4 could feature a better resolution of 2160 x 1440 pixels on its screen. There are also rumors that in addition to the humongous version with the 14-inch screen, another version with a smaller 8-inch screen will also be released sometime in the middle of 2015.
