Microsoft Surface Pro 5 latest update, specs rumors: Hybrid device to sport 512 GB internal storage?

In October, Microsoft held the Windows 10 event in New York and unveiled its newest products in the well-received Surface line. The Surface Book i7 and the Surface Studio were the stars of the event, and Microsoft is showered with praises about the devices.

Although it will be difficult to make two home-runs in a row, it looks like Microsoft still has other tricks up its sleeves to ensure its continued triumph in the industry with the rumored development of the Surface Pro 5 including other products in Microsoft's Surface line.

Based on recent reports, Microsoft could officially introduce the Surface Pro 5 together with the Surface Book 2 and the rumored Surface Phone together by early 2017. The much-anticipated Microsoft tablet may be unveiled during the Mobile World Congress 17 in February 2017.

As reported by The Bitbag, there speculations that the Surface Pro 5 will be sporting a massive 512 GB of storage. It may also have a 16 GB RAM. In addition to the larger storage and improved performance, the Microsoft product might also have a better battery life compared to its predecessor.

The Surface Pen may also get a few improvements with the release of the Surface Pro 5. The pen will be capable of wireless charging from its magnetic dock, a departure from the use of a replaceable battery.

There are also speculations that Surface Pro 5 will incorporate upgrades on its PixelSense display such as the support for 4K resolution. This is thanks to the power of Intel's seventh-generation Kaby Lake processor which the Surface Pro is rumored to be equipped with.

Microsoft has yet to release an official statement if the Surface Pro 5 is really in the works and what its possible release date could be. However, since the company has already confirmed that they're working on creating the ultimate smartphone, chances are high that the development of the next Surface tablet is not that far behind.
