Tech fans are excited to know more about the upcoming release of Apple MacBook Pro 2016. According to reports, the new flagship laptop is said to arrive in September along with other Apple products such as the iPhone 7. On the other hand, Microsoft is also rumored to have developed a new Surface Pro 5, which is said to come in early 2017 with impressive specs and features. The two laptops are expected to go head to head in market once both are already available.

The new MacBook Pro device is expected to come with Intel's current generation processor, the Skylake. According to reports, Microsoft will be using the next generation chipset from Intel, which is said to be called as Kaby Lake. There are speculations suggesting that one of the reasons why Microsoft could not launch the Surface Pro 5 this year is because of the availability of the processor. Apparently, the next gen chipset will not be released until late this year. Its availability will be perfect for the new Microsoft laptop and its upcoming Windows 10 Redstone 2.

Previous reports suggested that the new Apple MacBook Pro 2016 will arrive in two variations – the 15-inch and 13-inch models. Industry experts expect the upcoming device to feature an amazing display technology including the retina with 2304 x 1440 pixels resolution. There are also rumors saying that the device will be lighter and thinner compared to its predecessor. Other features of the MacBook Pro 2016 include an OLED touch bar right on top of the keyboard, which is said to replace the traditional function keys.

Meanwhile, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is expected to sport a 13-inch screen with 2736 x 1824 pixels resolution. However, there are reports circulating that the laptop may come with a 4k display technology, which easily achievable, considering that it will run on a Kaby Lake processor.

Both devices are also expected to run on each company's latest operating system.
