Microsoft Surface Studio update & specs: Shipping for Microsoft Surface Studio starts
The all-new Microsoft Surface Studio is now going to be available for use soon. Those who pre-ordered on the first week after the product launch will get the device this week as Microsoft has already started shipping orders.
According to reports, early purchasers received an email from the company stating that their package has already been processed. They can expect it to arrive in the week of Nov. 21st. As for new orders, they will have to wait until early next year for it to be processed and shipped.
For those who have not placed in their order yet, a couple of reviews of the all-in-one PC have been released already. They may want to check those out as the Surface Studio is no cheap computer. It has a starting price of $3,000 for the variant with 8 GB of RAM and a 1-TB hybrid drive.
But even with its hefty price tag, Microsoft sold out all of its stocks in its initial production run. This is probably because the device is worth its value. Reviews of the new product have generally been good, specifically noting its top-tier configuration and 28-inch PixelSense display with a resolution of 4,500 x 3,000 pixels.
Aside from that, reports detailed that it comes with a 10-point multi-touch and quad-core Intel Core i7 CPUs. There are two options available for the graphics processing unit. One is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 965M 2GB GPU GDDR5 memory and the other is the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980M 4GB GPU.
Moreover, the Surface Studio also comes with up to 32 GB of RAM and 2-TB storage. It is also equipped with four USB 3.0 ports, SD card reader, headphone jack, built-in camera for Windows Hello and mini DisplayPort. Its sound and music experience is heightened with Dolby stereo 2.1 speakers.
Interested buyers of the Microsoft Surface Studio should wait for more updates.
