'Minecraft' DLC news: Players explore ancient China in Chinese Mythology Pack set for October
The next "Minecraft" downloadable content (DLC) will be the Chinese Mythology Mash-Up Pack, which was announced by developer Mojang at Minecon.
Inspired by the myths and legends of China, the new pack takes players to the olden times as they explore the premade world that is ancient China and "find enlightenment in the land of dragons."
The trailer for the "Minecraft" DLC previews the game's massive and breathtaking recreation of the great city's "epic terrain." A description for the Chinese Mythology Mash-Up Pack is as follows:
Minecrafters get to explore a Chinese Mythology-themed world, with glorious Textures, legendary Skins and enchanting Music. The Pack also includes a themed Battle map exclusive to this Mash-up!
On its Xbox News blog, Microsoft also teased dragons in high mountains, a mythical monastery, and rich fields that players can explore in the DLC.
The "Minecraft" DLC will offer players a total of 41 all-new skins and 13 themed music tracks in addition to a special map for the Battle mini game, which was released to the game back in June.
With the price tag of only $4.99, the Chinese Mythology Mash-Up Pack is coming to "Minecraft" along with a new game update that will add more exciting goodies to the beloved sandbox video game.
This includes a total of eight new building blocks namely end bricks, beetroot, grass path, frosted ice, magma, nether wart block, red nether brick, and bone block.
This addition will pave the way to the addition of new items in the form of farm beetroots that Minecrafters can use to whip up some healthy beetroot soup. Decorative banners will also be available.
The "Minecraft" update will also add Arctic biomes Arctic biomes, which will come with Bear mobs, and underground where Fossils are buried, all that and "different village paths and materials."
The Chinese Mythology Mash-Up Pack will be available to "Minecraft" via all platforms.
