'Mr. Robot' season 2 episode spoilers, updates: Mr. Robot insists on his 'usefulness'; Darlene and Angela's plan bombs?

This week's episode of "Mr. Robot" season 2 just proved that hacking is in Elliot's system, and it's something he can never get rid of, just like his dead father who talks "for" him as Mr. Robot.

The fifth episode of the sophomore season titled "eps2.3_logic-b0mb.hc" saw Elliot (Rami Malek) back behind a computer, presumably to help his new friend Ray (Craig Robinson) migrate his website. However, Elliot's sister, Darlene (Carly Chaikin), has just informed him that the FBI were closing in on the fsociety, so he had no choice but to get back to doing what he does best.

In an effort to protect himself and his sister from getting arrested for their part in the Five/Nine hack, Elliot took the opportunity to hack into the FBI in order to draw their investigation away from fsociety while working on Ray's task, too. Problem cropped up when Ray insisted that Elliot not dig too deep into his website.

Curiosity got the better of Elliot, so dig he did and he discovered that Ray's website was actually a backdoor to an illegal business where drugs, guns, and sex were being doled out on the Internet, things that Elliot tried to keep off the Web in the first place. When Ray realized what happened, he had Elliot beaten up. Ironically, Mr. Robot (Christian Slater) warned Elliot about it early on, but he chose not to listen.

The next episode titled "eps2.4_m4ster-s1ave.aes" would find the fsociety down one member. It looks like a beating is not the only thing Ray has planned for Elliot. The guy has plans, sinister plans, perhaps. Otherwise, he wouldn't try to befriend Elliot. Check out the promo trailer below:

So goes the synopsis for said episode. In what capacity would Mr. Robot be useful to Elliot? Would Elliot ever get out of the mess he's in with Ray? Darlene and Angela's (Portia Doubleday) plan would hit a snag. Would it lead to dire consequences for the two?

"Mr. Robot" season 2 episode 6 would drop on Wednesday, Aug. 10 at 10 p.m. ET on USA Network.
