'Naruto Shippuden' episodes 493, 494, 495 spoilers: Kakashi makes Naruto–Hinata nuptials extra special with a top secret mission for everyone
Now that Naruto's son, Boruto, is getting his own spinoff animated series soon, it's just fitting that one of the most important moments in his parents' lives also gets to have its own animated adaptation. And next week, "Naruto Shippuden" will air special one-hour back-to-back episodes featuring Naruto and Hinata's wedding day.
After episode 493 saw Shikamaru's arc end in success, episodes 494 and 495 will be taking their cues from another light novel titled "Konoha Hiden: The Perfect Day for a Wedding," which was written by Shou Hinata and illustrated by the original manga creator himself, Masashi Kishimoto. This is the fourth book in the Naruto Hiden series following Kakashi's, Shikamaru's, and Sakura's.
The trailer for the next episode teases a plan that Kakashi will execute in order to ensure that all of Naruto and Hinata's friends will make it to the wedding. Instead of sending them off on their originally scheduled missions, which may overlap with the special day, the current Hokage will instead give everyone a secret mission to find the perfect wedding gift for the couple.
A seemingly simple task, and yet, it sends Konoha in a bit of a frenzy as Naruto and Hinata's friends try to come up with the best gift ideas to give to a newlywed couple. Some of them will get it, while others will miss the point entirely and in hilarious ways.
Fans will also be able to experience the wedding celebrations in real life as Namco's J-World Tokyo theme park honors the occasion with a special limited-time event, which is titled "Naruto Shippuden – A Good Day For A Wedding," scheduled to run from Feb. 25 to April 2. The festival will be giving fans of the anime the chance to celebrate the Naruto–Hinata nuptials as if they actually attended the ceremony themselves.
Afterward, the attendees will be able to buy various types of food and Naruto-based mementos from a special shop inside the park. Fans will also be able to enjoy a Ninja Battle Tour with live-action performers dressed up as Shikamaru, Kiba, Rock Lee, or Sakura.
Preparations for the grandest wedding in Konoha will be kicking off on Thursday, Feb. 16, at 7:30 p.m. JST on TV Tokyo.
