'Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' Road to Boruto DLC news update: Mecha Naruto revealed; some key characters will not be playable
Another character joining "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" via the "Road to Boruto" downloadable content (DLC) pack is Mecha Naruto.
The character, who as his name suggests, is the android version of Naruto, will make his return to the "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm" franchise once again.
Mecha Naruto was in the previous game and was included in the "Naruto Shippuden" anime, where he was revealed to be the creation of Orochimaru.
The character appeared in the "Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution." Orochimaru based him on the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path and was tasked to Kurama and interfere with the plans of Akatsuki.
Mecha Naruto will join Boruto, Sarada, Mitsuki, Hokage Naruto and Adult Sasuke as playable characters in "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto."
A new trailer for the game showed the characters in action both in the story mode and free battles. Another preview for the "Road to Boruto" DLC, this time in English sub, also showed other characters.
The villains Momoshiki and Kinshiki, Yurui from the Hidden Cloud Village, Shikamaru and Temari's son Shikadai as well as Adult Konohamaru will not be playable in the "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" expansion.
This was revealed by Bandai Namco on Twitter when the company was asked by a fan. It is unclear as to why this is the case as the characters would have made amazing playable fighters.
Bandai Namco decided against elaborating the decision, but Saiyan Island believes that making characters playable is no easy task, and this could be why these five individuals did not make it to Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" as "Road to Boruto" playable characters.
"Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto" DLC will be released on Feb. 2 in exclusively for the PlayStation 4 Japan while the rest of the world will be able to get it on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PC on Feb. 3.
