'Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4' updates: Spectator Mode and 8-player Endless Mode returning; new 'Road to Boruto' character revealed
Bandai Namco Entertainment is bringing back the Spectator Mode in "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" and is now bringing back eight-player Endless matches as opposed to only four.
These two things are the biggest source of complaints from fans. Spectator Mode allows players to watch opponents in the Endless Mode to brawl their way to the top.
When "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" was first released, this mode was removed, taking away the ability of players to "spectate" and forcing them to just wait for their turn to fight by staring at a blank space.
Previous iterations of the fighting game also allow eight players in the Endless matches, but Bandai Namco thought it to cut that number in half come "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4."
These changes were major letdowns for fans and led to backlash and online petitions like this one, but it appears that Bandai Namco is taking serious consideration of fan feedback with regards to improving the game.
The studio is yet to announce when "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" is getting the Spectator Mode and the eight-player Endless matches.
Another thing to look forward to in the game is the release of the "Road to Boruto" expansion. It appears that Yurui from the Hidden Cloud Village will be joining Boruto, Sarada and Mitsuki in the downloadable content (DLC).
Momoshiki ÅŒtsutsuki, Kinshiki ÅŒtsutsuki, and Shikadai Nara are also expected to be part of the "Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4" DLC along with Hokage Naruto and Adult Sasuke.
Furthermore, Naruto and Sasuke will have the ability to merge their abilities to perform a combination awakening Susanoo Kurama.
The two will also be part of a new combination team ultimate jutsu to be added in the "Road to Boruto" DLC that will allow them to use both the Susanoo and Kurama.
"Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4: Road to Boruto" DLC will be released on Feb. 2, 2017 in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and on Feb. 3, 2017, in the rest of the world for the PS4, Xbox One and Steam.
