After seemingly getting rid of the entire starting line-up, the Chicago Bulls went from being a contender to possibly rebuilding their entire roster.

Only last season, the Bulls started out their campaign hoping to be one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference.

They certainly had the players that could compete, at least on paper, as Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol were the team's anchor up front, while Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose were the dynamic duo that would help the Bulls in the guard spot.

Unfortunately, that did not work out as planned and the Bulls completely missed out on the playoffs. And with that, talks were apparent that the team needed some changes; so far in the summer they are one of the busiest teams in the market.

Noah and Rose have now gone to the Big Apple to play for the New York Knicks, while Gasol has returned to the Western Conference to try for another title with the San Antonio Spurs.

That leaves the Bulls with Butler as their lone star. However, the Bulls have equipped him with some star power as Rajon Rondo has joined the team and it is expected that Dwyane Wade will also be part of the squad.

And according to NESN, the franchise has no plans to trade off Butler as they believe they can still make the franchise into an East contender.

ESPN's Zach Lowe stated that he believes Butler is not being shopped around the league.

He said: "Butler is off the market for now, per league sources, and it's tempting to read Chicago's all-in splash as an effort to maintain a winner around him."

At only 26 years old, Butler is already heading into his sixth year in the league.

He has been an All-Star selection in the last two seasons who averages 13.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

Last season, he averaged his career bests so far, scoring 20.9 points and dishing out 4.8 assists in 67 games with the team.

It should be very interesting to see how the team will rebuild with Butler at the helm.
