According to the NBA rumor mill, the Atlanta Hawks could be considering trading away their All-Star power forward Paul Millsap for the right deal, and other teams are expected to jump at the opportunity.

As reported by Marc Stein of ESPN in a Twitter post, the Atlanta Hawks are currently fielding interest and listening to trade offers for Paul Millsap.

According to Inquisitr, one of the latest NBA trade rumors revolve around the possibility of a blockbuster deal among three teams: the Cleveland Cavaliers, the New York Knicks, and the Atlanta Hawks.

In this hypothetical trade scenario, the Cavaliers would receive Carmelo Anthony and shooting guard Kyle Korver. The Knicks would secure Paul Millsap, Iman Shumpert, point guard Dennis Schroder, and center Tiago Splitter. The Hawks, meanwhile, would have Kevin Love and point guard Derrick Rose into their team.

This well-crafted rumor may soon become a reality with the recent news that Hawks has traded away its sharpshooter, Korver, in exchange for Mike Dunleavy as well as Cleveland's 2019 first-round pick. And it looks like the next objective of the Hawks is to move Millsap next.

In a recent interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Wednesday, Jan. 4, Atlanta Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer admitted to meeting Millsap last Tuesday amid the widespread trade rumors involving the All-Star power forward.

"I can't tell you (what was said) but we sat down and talked," Millsap said. "Our main focus is winning games right now. The focus is on basketball," he added.

"We talked holistically, big picture, basketball, typical conversation that Bud and I may have. We spoke. It was (important) for us to sit down and talk to each other, especially with everything that is circulating out there. Get back to what you have to do to focus on basketball," he went on to say.

On the other hand, the media outlet also approached Millsap to ask if a trade deal involving him was imminent.

"I'm not sure," Millsap said. "Not a clue."
