At the moment, the Chicago Bulls are doing better than expected as they are second in the Central Division with an 8-4 record.

Dwyane Wade and Jimmy Butler have worked well in leading the team and despite not being considered as one of the contenders in the Eastern Conference, the Bulls are continuing to break expectations in the early stages of the season.

Unfortunately, that has not helped in quieting the rumors of the new core possibly splitting up soon and this time, the Bulls are linked to a player from the Minnesota Timberwolves. It seems that the Bulls are interested in getting Andrew Wiggins on board and are even willing to send Butler to Minnesota to get his services.

This is definitely big news as Butler has been with the Bulls since the start of his career.

Picked 30th overall in the 2011 draft, Butler is a steal considering he averages 24.2 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists so far this year. It is a far cry from is career averages of 14.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game.

Butler has steadily improved. Given that he is only 27 years old, he may still get better in the coming years.

However, Wiggins is the much younger talent at 21 years old and his current figures show just how big of a star he could be. This year, he averages 27.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game. He has also had breakout games, including scoring 47 points in a single game this season.

Despite only being in his third season, he appears to have adapted well to the game and at the highest level.

This potential trade should send shock waves if it were to happen, but both teams should properly study both the pros and cons of this potential deal.
