NBA trade rumors 2016: DeMarcus Cousins to move to Golden State Warriors or Cleveland Cavaliers?

DeMarcus Cousins' trade should be decided soon enough before the trade deadline in the 2016–2017 NBA season. The Sacramento Kings must be able to send DeMarcus to the highest bidder while he still has maximum value.

According to reports, the Kings are concerned that they are losing Cousins when he hits free agency two years from now. However, if they trade Cousins now to the highest bidder, it could solve their worry.

Even with the promising arrival of head coach Dave Joerger and his capability to maximize DeMarcus' talents in the upcoming season, even build him to be a Most Valuable Player candidate, Sacramento just doesn't have enough to contend with the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs. The latter two are expected to rule the Western conference again this coming season.

As pointed out by Sporting News, few NBA executives would trade for Cousins because he's too difficult to handle, based on his history of outbursts at coaches, suspensions, and failure to get along with teammates. Reports are saying that Sacramento are heading to the contender teams Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers to trade Cousins for Kevin Love, Klay Thompson, or Draymond Green.

Cousins, who also goes by the nickname Boogie, has been a regular at the NBA trade rumor mill the entire offseason. The King's center player wants to be part of a contender team. He also wants an NBA title which he could most likely achieve if he's to join the Warriors or the Cavaliers.

However, the real question here is — whom would the rival teams give up for Boogie? There are rumors suggesting that Love cold be traded for Cousins if the latter joins the Cavaliers. On the other hand, if he joins the Golden State, it could either be Thompson or Green who will be ex-Warriors.
