'NCIS' season 14 spoilers: Ducky harks backs to mysterious past after connection with a murdered victim
The next episode of "NCIS" season 14, "The Tie That Binds," will be a flashback-heavy installment focused on Ducky (David McCallum).
That being said, Adam Campbell is brought back to reprise his role as the young version of Ducky in this installment, which also doubles as the holiday episode of the series.
"NCIS" season 14, episode 10 will see the team investigate the murder of a Navy captain. The evidence from the crime connects to Ducky's deceased mother.
The promo for the episode teases that the victim has the address of Ducky in his pocket, which suggests that the dead man could be someone from his past.
According to the synopsis for the "NCIS" season 14, episode 10, the chief medical examiner will reflect "on a key decision he made 37 years ago." The promo teases that it has something to do with her mother sleeping with a man.
Promotional stills from "NCIS" season 14, episode 10 have been released by CBS. One shows a stylish and dapper young Ducky as embedded above. Another shows him speaking to one Balthazar Kilmeany (Charles Shaughnessy).
There was also an image showing Ducky's now-estranged childhood friend, Angus Clarke (Adam Croasdell). It looks like they are on a mission in this episode.
"NCIS" season 14, episode 10 will also see the team celebrate Christmas. Everyone is in holiday spirit as they get together to have fun and exchange presents.
There was also a moment in the promo where the team had a toast of their eggnogs for Ducky. From the looks of it, fans who love McCallum's character will love this episode.
Meanwhile, Gibbs (Mark Harmon) will also share Christmas dinner with none other than his recovering roommate, Fornell (Joe Spano) while Reeves (Duane Henry) and Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) continue their friendly rivalry.
