'NCIS' season 14 episode 4 spoilers, air date: Team sets sail to investigate murder out at sea
"NCIS" season 14 is barely into its fourth episode but so far, the episodes that aired since the season premiere have been explosive. This week's episode promises to be no different, as the team sets sail to investigate a tricky murder case aboard a cruise ship.
However, here's a quick recap of last Tuesday's episode.
Episode 3 titled "Privileged Information" had Gibss' (Mark Harmon) team deducing whether the death of a Marine Sergeant who fell from the roof of her apartment was murder or suicide. Marine Sgt. Erin Hills didn't die immediately, falling into a coma first, which made it harder for the team to solve the case. Due to doctor-patient confidentiality agreement, Erin's psychologist, Dr. Grace Confalone (Laura San Giacomo) could not divulge any information to Gibbs other than she believes Erin was murdered.
However, through Abby's (Pauley Perrette) investigation of the security camera footage, Ducky's (Donald Mallard) autopsy, and Nick's impromptu investigation of an apartment where the previous owner apparently died due to an accident, the team was able to catch the perpetrator.
It turns out the building manager, Greg, was in cahoots with Erin's sister, Devon, who also happens to be his lover. They killed the old man who owned the apartment due to his gold coin collection, although Devon insists that her sister's death was purely Greg's doing.
Tuesday's episode 4 titled "Love Boat" will see Gibbs' team investigating a tricky murder case that happened on a ship at sea.
"After the body of a navy lieutenant is discovered aboard a destroyer during a tiger cruise, when civilian guests are allowed to spend the night on the ship, Gibbs, Quinn and Palmer travel out to sea to investigate. Also, McGee contemplates the perfect proposal for Delilah Fielding," reads the synopsis shared by Spoiler TV.
A body of a Navy Lieutenant will be found dead in a tiger cruise ship, prompting Gibbs, Alex Quinn (Jennifer Esposito), and Jimmy Palmer (Brian Dietzen) will travel out to sea to board the ship. Apparently, the ship allowed civilians an overnight stay as guests during the tiger cruise, and it was then that the Lieutenant was murdered. Check out the promo trailer below:
Another interesting fact about the upcoming episode, as seen in the promo, is that the team's murder investigation somehow connects to a famous popstar who, presumably, was part of the cruise, too. Incidentally, Agent Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) will think about the perfect proposal to long-time girlfriend Delilah Fielding (Margo Harshman).
"NCIS" season 14 episode 4 airs Tuesday, Oct. 11 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
