'NCIS' season 14 spoilers: Wilmer Valderrama's character will not make good impression to team
When "NCIS" season 14 premieres, Agent Gibbs (Mark Harmon) will be greeted by a new face—Nick (to be played by Wilmer Valderrama). However, not everyone will be too thrilled to work with him.
Nick is an undercover agent who went on a mission and disappeared long enough to be deemed dead. He returns years later, but he is no longer the man he used to be.
In an interview with BuddyTV, Valderrama revealed that Nick won't make the best first impression to the team and will especially clash with Gibbs early on in "NCIS" season 14.
"He only knows how to do things one way and that is based on his own instincts. He's gonna be presented with a different dynamic and that's not gonna sit well," Valderrama said.
The actor revealed that so far in the "NCIS" season 14 production, Nick and Gibbs have already butt heads for at least four times. With that said, it appears that the "lone wolf" alone will instantly shake things up upon his entrance.
At the San Diego Comic-Con panel of the long-running action police procedural series, Valderrama spoke more about Gibbs and Nick's dynamic.
"There's something that's going to happen, but we already have like a little father-son kind of thing. I'm the black sheep of the family so far," the actor said.
This could also be the reason why the "NCIS" season 14 premiere is called "Rogue." It appears that the title could be a description of what Nick will be like when he first steps into the office.
Nick's inability to work with others was caused by being forced to do so when he was on his mission, although he was the one who severed communication from his former team.
He became so used to working on his own that he forgot how to be a part of a team. With regards to why he resurfaces now, it turns out that Nick's cover was blown. This is why in "NCIS" season 14, he returns with "to warn everyone about a possible threat."
"NCIS" season 14 will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. EDT on CBS.
