That said, what does Netflix have in store for everyone this October? Well, to start off, Netflix will be streaming Osgood Perkins' "I Am the Pretty Thing That Lives in the House," which was a big favorite during the Toronto International Film Festival. They will also be offering "American Horror Story: Hotel" and six new episodes of the British cult anthology series "Black Mirror," which are coming out on Oct. 21.

Nevertheless, The Verge notes that "The Exorcist," one of the most Halloween-movie-marathon flicks of all, time is leaving the streaming service.

"Ghost Town," a poignantly touching, funny, romantic comedy starring Ricky Gervais and Greg Kinnear is also coming to Netflix this October. This movie puts an interesting twist to the so-called "unfinished business" of the dearly departed. In addition, one of filmdom's highest-grossing movies of all time, "Titanic," is finally coming to the streaming site, as well as "Breakfast at Tiffany's," and Richard Linklater's "Dazed and Confused."

"Mascots," a new movie from Christopher Guest will likewise stream on Netflix this October. Some familiar names star in this movie including Jane Lynch, Parker Posey, Ed Begley, Jr., Jennifer Coolidge, Fred Willard, John Michael Higgins, and Bob Balaban.

However, while many awesome movies and TV shows are coming to Netflix next month, some well-loved titles are likewise saying goodbye, as USA Today reports. Among these titles are "Back to the Future," "Erin Brockovich," "The Truman Show," and all eight seasons of "Psych."

As for Netflix Originals, viewers can expect the second season of Ashton Kutcher's "The Ranch," as well as a Justin Timberlake concert movie. Several TV shows from The CW will also start streaming on Netflix this October, including "The Flash," "Arrow," "The Vampire Diaries," and "iZombie."
