'New Girl' season 6 episode 11 spoilers: Schmidt goes on a soul-searching journey; Reagan moves into the loft

Reagan (Megan Fox) moves into the loft on the upcoming episode of Fox's hit comedy "New Girl" season 6.

Titled "Raisin's Back," the show's upcoming midseason premiere will see the return of a familiar face. According to the official synopsis for episode 11, Nick (Jake Johnson) tries to play it cool when Reagan finally moves into the loft. Meanwhile, Cece (Hannah Simone) and Winston (Lamorne Morris) challenge Schmidt's (Max Greenfield) love of electronic dance music, leading him to go on a soul-searching journey that ends in an unexpected way.

In the show's fall finale/Christmas episode titled "Christmas Eve Eve," viewers saw the long-awaited return of Fox's Reagan. Jess (Zooey Deschanel) decided to give Nick the best Christmas gift she can think of by flying Reagan in from Seattle. To give her friend one magical night with his girlfriend and make sure that he's home for Reagan's arrival, Jess went out of her way to help Nick serve dozens of drunk customers.

The midseason finale won't be Reagan's last episode because she will continue to shake things up when the series returns next year. When the series kicks off in January, Nick will be excited to have his girlfriend see his passion project.

"There's a fun storyline developing for Nick this season about his growth," Executive producer Brett Baer told Entertainment Weekly. "He's becoming an adult, but his passion in life has really been his writing, so he wrote a book this year for [Julius] Pepperwood and even more important to him than the book is Reagan's responses and thoughts about it. There's an episode going through the pain of Nick finally giving the book to her," he went on to say.

The sixth season of "New Girl" returns to the small screen on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at 8 p.m. ET on Fox.
