'New Girl' season 6 episode 16 spoilers: Can Jess survive Valentine's Day on her own?
A Valentine's Day-themed episode is coming to "New Girl" next week. What surprises and mishaps await the couples of The Loft, and how will Jess Day (Zooey Deschanel) handle being single on a day meant for lovers?
Titled "Operation: Bobcat," the episode will see Jess trying to convince the gang, and quite possibly herself, that she is perfectly fine being single on Valentine's Day. With all of her friends paired up and her breakup with former flame, Robbie (Nelson Franklin), who turned out to be her third-degree cousin, still fresh in her mind, will she succeed in convincing everyone and herself that she is going to be fine? This may seem like a tall order for someone who seemed to have shown signs of falling anew for old flame Nick Miller (Jake Johnson) in the previous episode.
It's a good thing that celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay drops by to cook for her, as teased in the trailer for the next episode. It seems that Jess is planning to celebrate the special day by having dinner by herself and cleaning out her purse. But things also seem to go south later in the night when Ramsay calls Jess out on her lies in another sneak peek released by FOX.
While Jess tries not to wallow in her singlehood, Schmidt (Max Greenfield) and Cece Parekh (Hannah Simone) embrace their married life by planning an intimate night on the rooftop. But this, too, will not turn out as planned when Nick, who is curiously without his girlfriend, Reagan (Megan Fox), comes up to ruin their night.
Meanwhile, Winston Bishop's (Lamorne Morris) supposedly 20-step proposal plan to his girlfriend Aly Nelson (Nasim Pedrad) gets expedited for unspecified reasons, and he may be forced to pop the question sooner than he initially planned.
Will the Lofties have a memorable or a disastrous Valentine's Day? Viewers can find out when "New Girl" season 6 episode 16 airs on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at 8 p.m. EST on FOX.
