'New Girl' season 6 spoilers news: Are Nick and Jess getting back together?

Fans of "New Girl" were all abuzz when the show's season 5 ended with Cece (Hannah Simone) and Schmidt (Max Greenfield) saying their marriage vows and all the more with the Sam (David Walton) and Jess (Zooey Deschanel) breakup which had not been expected at all. Now viewers speculate whether there will be a reconciliation between Jess and Nick (Jake Johnson) when the next season comes around.

This may just be mere speculation of Jess-Nick fans because it was already known that Nick was already planning to move in with Reagan (Megan Fox) who lives in New Orleans.

Liz Meriwether, the show's creator, spilled the beans on the major plot twist of the upcoming "New Girl" season 6, which could turn out to be Nick's and Jess' chance at revisiting their old romance, but it would be in a totally new way. It can be recalled that it was Nick who broke Jess' heart and fell in love with Reagan. Thus, the viewers are clueless as to how this could happen.

It seems a simple matter, however, for Meriwether, who shared with The Hollywood Reporter: "For me, it's the heart of the show. I knew we were going to come back to it, but we had to figure out a way to get back into it that feels good for the show and the characters and will allow us to have stories."

Apparently, the fans of the show are not the only ones hooked on the idea of Nick and Jess finding their way back together.

Meriwether said that she loved the two characters together and hoped that the next season would be a chance to explore new ideas for the two to renew their romance. She also said that the Nick-Jess romance would become a reality with the new cast effecting their reunion.

There is nothing definite yet, though, because the Fox network has not made any official announcements regarding the release of the next season, except that it will come later this year.
