It appears that there are a large number of teams which interested in signing Milwaukee Bucks big man Greg Monroe.

Previously, teams like the San Antonio Spurs were linked to the big man, and now an Eastern Conference team is emerging as another likely destination for the former Detroit Pistons man.

Reports say that the New York Knicks are interested in Monroe and may need a third team to be able to pull off the trade and get their main man.

It was also suggested that the Knicks are unlikely to trade their key big men, namely Joakim Noah and Kristaps Porzingis, for Monroe and since they have no other assets in the roster then a third team may be used to make the trade possible.

If the Knicks are able to pull off this trade, then New York have a strong line-up of Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony as the only original Knicks from last year. Derrick Rose and Noah came in from the Chicago Bulls, and Courtney Lee is also a great option to play the shooting guard position.

It is likely that Monroe will play the center position for the Knicks as Noah is now 31 years old and will likely come off the bench for some quality minutes.

At 26 years old, Monroe is still an excellent choice as he has put up good numbers despite being demoted to the bench last season.

The problem he had with the Bucks is that he didn't fit the system as head coach Jason Kidd started to opt for a different style of play that did not benefit the big man.

Moving to the Knicks will help redevelop Monroe and may maximize his talents on the floor.

Furthermore, adding Monroe will be a great move for the Knicks as they try to be relevant again in the East and be a playoff contender.

It remains to be seen which team New York may involve to make this possible.
