Despite adding new players in their lineup, the New York Knicks are still struggling.

As of writing, the Knicks are third in the Atlantic Division with a 3-6 record and are coming off from a loss in their last game.

The team has shown glimpses of what they can do. However, the problem is in their consistency and the Knicks do not seem to look promising later on in the season.

Many pegged them to be a surprise team and one that can contend with the likes of the Cleveland Cavaliers, but their big losses and lucky wins do not give much hope to the Knicks fans. As a result, it appears that the Knicks are being linked to move their biggest star, Carmelo Anthony.

Joining the Knicks in the 2010-11 season, Melo has been their best player in recent years. He averages 24.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. However, he has found it tough to be the franchise player and help the team reach the heights that the fans are expecting.

Right now, the Knicks are loaded with talent with Kristaps Porzingis landing on their laps thanks to a great draft pick, with Derrick Rose, Courtney Lee and Joakim Noah coming over through trades during the summer to help the team.

It has not come to fruition as of yet as the team is still struggling with their overall chemistry. Whether they can work it out or not is a story yet to unfold but it does not look too good.

The rumor links Melo to a move to the Boston Celtics, who are also struggling despite having a lot of pieces in tow. If the proposed move is made, the Celtics are likely to give up a bunch of their players in order to bring Melo to Boston.

As for the Knicks, they might entertain this option as they want to build on what they have right now and rebuild for the future.
