Nexus 6 vs Sony Xperia Z3 Review of Specs, Features: Which Phone Should You Purchase?
With the wide array of options available in the latest smartphones, it has become very difficult for many people to decide which device to buy. This is exactly the case between Sony Xperia Z3 and Google Nexus (Motorola) 6.
Both devices are undoubtedly the best in their category. This all the more makes it imperative to compare these two smartphones when trying to decide which one has the upper hand. Here's a quick comparison:
Design
The two phones are both well-designed, although the Nexus 6 has a very similar look to the previous Nexus 5 manufactured by LG, which may not be very appealing especially for those who already own the Nexus 5. The Xperia Z3 also has a similar look to its predecessor, but it is lighter and slimmer. It also comes with waterproof and dust proof features.
Processor
While it is safe to say that Xperia Z3 has a somewhat better design than the Nexus 6, the Nexus 6 wins when one considers the processor from which the phone gets its power. The Xperia Z3 is powered by a 2.5 GHz Adreno 330 Snapdragon 801 processor while the Nexus 6 is powered by a more robust 2.7 GHz Adreno 440 Snapdragon 805 processor. Both phones have 3GB RAM.
Display
The Nexus 6 has a 6-inch screen with Quad HD 2560×1440 resolution and 493 ppi while the Xperia Z3 has a 5.2 inch screen with 1920×1080 resolution and 424 ppi. These figures easily tell us that Nexus 6 has a better display.
Camera
The Xperia Z3 comes with a 20.7 MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 2.2 MP secondary (front facing) camera. Nexus 6, on the other hand, lags behind with only 13MP rear camera with dual flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. Xperia Z3 obviously wins in this aspect.
It is apparent that both phones are winners in their own rights. Choosing which phone to purchase all boils down upon one's preferences and usage.
