Nexus 6 vs Xperia Z3 Review: Nexus Features to Match Newest Sony Flagship
Motorola's Nexus 6 and Sony's Xperia Z3 carry nearly the same price tag. Aside from this, what are their other similarities? And what features do they have that are missing from the other?
Operating System
When it comes to hardware, both smartphones have Android OS. They also have instant access to Google Store, so downloading apps is a breeze.
Sony's edge is its integration of the PlayStation 4 Remote Play that allows users to play exclusive PS4 games even without TV connection. However, it would need a DUALSHOCK 4 controller that is sold separately.
Nexus 6, on the other hand, offers immediate free downloadable games in the Google Play Store. These games can be played even without a controller.
Nexus 6 has a Snapdragon 805 processor which helps in creating and capturing 4K videos. The Xperia Z3 uses Snapdragon 801.
Camera and Video
The Xperia Z3 has a top-of-the-line 20.7 MP rear camera with Sony G lens. The Nexus 6, on the other hand, has a 13 MP rear camera. Nexus 6 also has f2.0 lens with dual- LED flash to improve image clarity.
However, the 13 MP camera of Nexus 6 is not a disadvantage at all because it has the capacity to record 4K videos, the same as the Xperia Z3. It also supports file formats like YUV and Bayer RAW.
As for device integration, Nexus 6 is compatible to any Android gadgets such as Android Wear, Android TV and Android tablets. It is also powered by Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Battery
Both phones have rapid charging but Nexus 6 has 3220 mAh while Xperia Z3 has 3100 mAh.
