Nexus 6P release date, specs news: Appears on benchmark platform with Snapdragon 820

The rumored Nexus 6P has recently been spotted on the benchmark platform, GeekBench. The device has caught the attention of many tech observers because of its impressive specifications.

The Nexus 6P is said to be made possible through the partnership between Google and the Taiwanese multinational manufacturer of smartphones and tablet, HTC. Although both companies have yet to officially announce the device affirming the latest rumors, many people believe that Google is trying their best to make a huge mark in the smartphone industry this year.

The reveal of the smartphone on GeekBench sees the new Nexus device with the latest Snapdragon 820 processor from Qualcomm. Aside from it being powered by a reliable chipset, the device will also carry 4 GB of RAM for the people who like to multitask.

Compared to its predecessor, the new Nexus 6P has definitely improved. The current one is powered by Snapdragon 810, along with 3 GB of RAM. The present iteration, which is manufactured by Huawei, was well-received by tech freaks when it was released in 2015.

Meanwhile, there are reports suggesting that the next Nexus 6P will run on the latest operating system by Google, the Android N. If rumors prove to be true, the new device will look quite similar to the current Nexus 6P, with the new one having a more powerful processor and a better operating system.

Nonetheless, since the company has yet to confirm the specs that appear on GeekBench, there is a big possibility that the latest Nexus 6P will come out as a different device and with a much better specs and features. Regardless, fans are positive that they will be treated with an impressive handset from Google Nexus before the year ends.
