As the Cleveland Browns continue to struggle, it edges them ever so close to an eventual rebuilding that results in them letting go of most of their current players.

The Browns remain as the only winless team in the league, amassing a dismal 0-6 record through the first six weeks of the National Football League (NFL) season.

As a result, they are last in the AFC North and are very likely to be out of the running for the playoffs yet again this year.

Despite having poor performances, the Browns actually have good players, and one of them is left tackle Joe Thomas who has been consistent with the Browns.

Unfortunately, the state of the team has resulted in talks that he may be traded to the Denver Broncos as the Browns look to rebuild. Letting go of Thomas is definitely not an easy task as he is a Pro-Bowler and it will be tough to find a replacement for him.

However, the Browns need assets and need to get as much in return as they can get from the players that they have.

To his credit, an ESPN source claims that Thomas will not ask for a trade despite the troubles the team is facing. However, that may not be up to him as the franchise will have to do anything to move forward.

There is no doubt that Cleveland's morale is down and the players are feeling the pressure. At 31 years old, Thomas may be at the peak of his career and may be more suited for another team and a contender with the Broncos, in order to chase that Super Bowl title.

As for the Browns, there is still a lot left to work with and the season is still a few weeks from being done. They still have to continue working and try to finally get that elusive victory to help the team get some positive energy.
