Nicki Minaj and Drake Dating Rumors: Singer Squashes Rumors Of Her Dating Drake

Rumors that Nicki Minaj and Drake were dating first kicked off when Drake made an appearance in her "Anaconda" video. There Drake got up close and personal with her as she danced around him while he sat on a chair.

However, in a recent interview with Andy Cohen, the rap artist denied rumors that he and Minaj were dating, saying they were just "friends."

Minaj had previously been involved with Safaree Samuels for 10 years. In an interview with Angie Martinez of Power 105.1, she said she was still trying to get over her relationship with Samuels, adding that in the time they were together he became a big part of her life. Minaj also described Samuels as someone she had grown up with, confiding that she would not know "how to function without him in her life."

Minaj broke down during the interview and took a few moments to regain her composure. Given that Minaj is still dealing with her recent breakup with Samuels, rumors of her embarking on a clandestine romance with Drake seem farfetched.

In her interview with Cohen, Minaj responded with an emphatic "no" when he asked her if she would ever be interested in Drake. When Cohen continued and asked her if she "loved Drake in another way" she replied "yes," thereby ending any speculation about the two dating.

Whether Minaj's statement about Drake on the "Watch What Happens Live" show with Cohen is going to be taken seriously is another matter as she seems hell bent on working with Drake. Recently the star even released a raunchy video featuring Drake, Chris Brown and Lil Wayne. The video with a dominatrix theme shows Minaj wearing an S&M costume, tying up the three and dominating them with a whip.
