Nintendo NX release date news update: Success of 'Pokémon Go' to be used for NX's launch?
Nintendo is enjoying a good deal of newfound interest from fans because of the Pokémon Go. Suddenly players are interested in other products of the Japanese multinational consumer electronics and software company, including the upcoming NX console.
According to a report by Vine Report, rumors are circulating all over the industry suggesting that Nintendo is planning to use the popularity of "Pokémon Go" to their advantage as they gear up for the upcoming release of Nintendo NX. The publication added that the company might reveal the official release date of the new console at the upcoming Gamescom 2016 in Germany.
There are speculations saying that the current success of "Pokémon Go" might change the release plan of the Nintendo NX, which is said to be released in March 2017.
However, Gaming Bolt learned that Nintendo is not really keen on giving out concrete details at the event as far as history is concerned. Nonetheless, fans are hoping that the company will finally announce the NX official release date.
Meanwhile, several publications reported that a fake Nintendo NX controller is currently being sold at eBay. Previous reports suggested that a photo of a controller that supposedly belonged to the upcoming NX emerged online. However, it was proven to a fake.
Nonetheless, a physical prototype of the said device was auctioned on eBay with a starting bid of $4,000. It will be quite interesting to know if someone will spend thousands of U.S. dollars for a device that does not even work.
As of the moment, fans are still waiting for Nintendo to provide more solid details about the upcoming gaming console.
