Nintendo NX release date, specs news 2016: New console to arrive with VR compatibility?
These past few months have been pretty exciting for many video game players as rumors about console manufacturers bringing out new products are getting rampant. One of the most talked about report these days is the development of the new Nintendo NX console. According to the latest buzz, the much-anticipated video game system will come out in March 2017.
It was highly speculated that the device will arrive on the market this year; however, new reports have emerged suggesting that the company is said to be preparing a mysterious surprise for video game fans, which has caused the delay of the release.
In a report by Trusted Reviews, Nintendo's Shigeru Miyamoto revealed that the delay was caused by the company's decision to add more features to the upcoming console. One of the features is said to be mysterious and fans will have to wait for the device arrive to find out.
"In terms of NX, there's an idea that we're working on. That's why we can't sharing anything at this point. It is was just a matter of following advancements in technology, things would be coming out a lot quicker," Miyamoto said during a presser with Associated Press (AP).
Apparently, Nintendo is raising up the bar a little higher for the competition. Now is the perfect time for other manufacturers such as Sony and Microsoft to show what they bring to the table to top the new NX console.
There are speculations suggesting that Nintendo may equip the new NX console with VR feature. This has yet to be confirmed by the company but fans and critics have reasons to believe that the company will look into making the device VR ready.
Meanwhile, Nintendo NX is expected to go head to head with the upcoming Sony PlayStation NEO, which is also expected to arrive in 2017.
